Southington's 48th annual Apple Harvest Festival was held during the weekends of September 30-October 2 and October 7-9, 2016. Despite heavy rain that forced an early closing on the final Sunday, the overall turnout of visitors was outstanding. It is our hope that those who attended were able to fully enjoy all of the food, activities, entertainment and crafts that the festival had to offer.

Southington Historic Walking Tour

This armchair "walking tour" will acquaint you with a small part of the town's rich history. Sit back and relax as you "walk" through the heart of Southington while listening to a narration of information about ten selected historic and interesting buildings.

The tour covers about two miles in the Southington Town Center from the Orchards at Southington located on Hobart St., to North Main St., Main St., Eden Ave., Liberty St., and finishes at the intersection of Center and Main Sts. The Southington Train Depot

The Southington Train Depot, built in 1890, is located at 447 Canal Street adjacent to the Rails to Trails. The depot has been renovated and will be open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays beginning Saturday, May 28, 2016 through Sunday, September 11, 2016 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The public is invited to visit the passive historical display available for viewing at the depot.
